Facial Procedures:

Ear surgery, or otoplasty, is usually done by Dr Schmidt to set prominent ears back closer to the
         head or to reduce the size of ears that are too large. It is often performed early in a patient's life in
         order to alleviate any potential teasing or ostracizing that accompanies growing up with abnormally
         large or noticeable ears. It is altogether a very simple procedure; however, the benefits from it are far
         from small. Dr Schmidt has noticed patient's entire childhood trajectory may be boosted through the
         effects of having an otoplasty done. If you are concerned about you, or your child's prominent ears,
         having Dr Schmidt perform an otoplasty may be the way to alleviate your concerns.
        
                        
     

      Procedure:
      Dr Schmidt most commonly starts this surgery with an incision at the back of the ear after applying
      local anesthesia. Through this incision, the underlying cartilage will be molded, sculpted, and formed
      into the proper shape by Dr Schmidt. The incision is then sutured and dressings may be applied for a
      few days.
